Iberia eyes Europe-Latin American alliance

Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) is considering establishing an alliance to operate in the Europe-Latin American market airline Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Luis Gallego Martin has revealed.

Envoy to maintain limited ERJ-140 ops through 2016

Envoy Air (MQ, Dallas/Fort Worth) President and Chief Executive Officer Pedro Fábregas says his airline has reconsidered its ERJ-140 fleet-retirement plans. Israel to engage AA over decision to axe Tel Aviv flights

The Israeli government is planning to engage American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) over the carrier's recent decision to scrap its only Israel-bound service - Philadelphia Int'l-Tel Aviv Ben Gurion - from January 2016 onwards.

Republic Airways Holdings Inc., parent firm to Republic Airlines (YX, Indianapolis Int'l) and Shuttle America (S5, Fort Wayne), has warned that it may file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection should it fail to conclude a new Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) with its pilot corps. American Airlines to end Israel flights from early 1Q2016

American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) will terminate services to Israel early next year. Airline Route reports the carrier's daily A330-200 service between Philadelphia Int'l and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion will end with effect from January 5.

Despite its departure, American will continue to serve the Tel Aviv market via its codeshare partnership with El Al Israel Airlines (LY, Tel Aviv Ben Gurion).
