Emirates (EK, Dubai Int'l) has suspended its Kiev Borispol flights effective July 17, a full 14 days ahead of its previous announced termination date. The move comes days after the downing of a Malaysia Airlines (MH, Kuala Lumpur Int'l) B777-200(ER), 9M-MRD (msn 28411), en-route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur Int'l, in which all 298 on-board were killed. Emirates would order 60+ A380neo - Clark

Emirates (EK, Dubai Int'l) would consider acquiring between 60 and 80 A380neo variants should Airbus Industrie (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) proceed with its development and launch airline president, Timothy Clark, has said.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Clark said: "We have made it crystal clear to (Airbus) in the event of the (A380) neo being launched we would buy it."

British Airways firms up twenty-one A320neo options

British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) has firmed options for twenty-one A320neo aircraft with Airbus Industrie (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) at the ongoing Farnborough International Airshow 2014. The International Airlines Group (IAG) subsidiary will use the twinjets to replace 21 shorthaul outgoing aircraft.

Indian LCC GoAir in talks with foreign investor

GoAir (G8, Mumbai Int'l) CEO Giorgio De Roni has confirmed the LCC is in talks with an undisclosed foreign operator concerning the sale of some of its shareholding.

"We are working on a strategic partnership with a foreign airline. We are open to giving equity," he told The Wall Street Journal.
