Croatia's Sea Air to launch on May 18

Sea Air (Osijek) says it will commence regular scheduled flights from Osijek to Munich, Frankfurt Int'l, and Vienna with effect from May 18. The flights are to use a B737-500 and an MD-82 chartered from Romanian ACMI specialist Ten Airways (X5, Bucharest Baneasa).

Thereafter, the carrier plans to expand its network to include additional European destinations during its later phases.

Romania's Ten Airways files for insolvency protection

Ten Airways (X5, Bucharest Baneasa) has filed for insolvency protection with a Bucharest court which, if granted on March 5, will allow the airline to restructure and resume operations. The carrier recently had its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) reinstated by the Romanian civil aviation authority (Autoritatea Aeronautică Civilă Română - AACR) roughly a month after it was initially revoked, the carrier's managing director Dumitru Pupescu has confirmed to ch-aviation.

Romanian regulator suspends Ten Airways' AOC

Ten Airways (X5, Bucharest Baneasa) has ended operations after the Romanian civil aviation authority (Autoritatea Aeronautică Civilă Română - AACR) suspended its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) on January 19. euroAtlantic Airways (YU, Lisbon) has signed an agreement with the government of Guinea Bissau re-establishing direct flights between Bissau and Lisbon. The signing ceremony in Lisbon was attended by euroAtlantic president, Tomaz Metello, and the Secretary of State for Transport in Guinea-Bissau, João Bernardo Vieira.
