Niger Airlines wet-leasing an Iraqi B737

Niger Airlines (6N, Niamey) has begun wet-leasing a B737-200Adv. from Iraq's Al-Naser Airlines (6N, Baghdad) ch-aviation can exclusively reveal. YI-APZ (msn 22354) joins the carrier's other machinery, a Fokker 50, wet-leased from Palestinian Airlines (PF, Gaza) for domestic Nigerien flights.

Niger Airlines currently offers regional flights from Niamey via Ouagadougou and Bamako to Dakar twice weekly with the Iraqi aircraft.

Niger Airlines (6N, Niamey) officially launched domestic operations on Sunday, May 4 using a Fokker 50, SU-YAH (cn 20123), wet-leased from Palestinian Airlines (PF, Gaza). ch-aviation schedule data shows the start-up will offer flights from Niamey to Maradi, Agades, Tahoua, and Zinder initially before expanding into the region with services to Lagos, Ouagadougou, Bamako, Lomé, Cotonou, Dakar, Abidjan and Kano.

EgyptAir operating Al Arish-Jeddah charters for Palestinian Airlines

EgyptAir (MS, Cairo Int'l) has started operating pilgrimage charter flights on behalf of Palestinian Airlines (PF, Gaza) offering up to four times weekly between Al Arish and Jeddah. Al Arish is the closest airport in Egypt from the Gaza strip and Palestinian Airlines’ operating base. According to the African Aviation Tribune, flights operated by EgyptAir will operate until the end of August.

Palestinian Airlines News Update

Palestinian Airlines (PF, Gaza) has resumed operations on May 9 with its two Fokker 50s SU-YAH (c/n 20123) and SU-YAI (c/n 20143) operating between Al Arish and Amman Queen Alia for the first time after a five year break. It has also announced plans to add Jeddah as a second destination soon.
