Austria's InterSky to wet lease a Swiss Dornier 328

InterSky (3L, Friedrichshafen) is to wet-lease a Do328-100 from Swiss operator SkyWork Airlines (SX, Berne) once a week for the period May 2 until July 4.

Exclusive sources inform ch-aviation the twinprop will be used on the Saturday rotation of the Austrian carrier's Elba to Munich route. SkyWork operates an own service from Berne to Elba on Saturdays and will operate to Munich for InterSky in between.

bmi regional to partner Lufthansa for Munich base operations

bmi regional (BM, Aberdeen Dyce) will base two Embraer Regional Jets, one ERJ-135 and one ERJ-145, out of Munich this summer as part of plans to open up flights to Berne, Liège, and Rotterdam. The routes are operated in conjunction with Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l).

The two carriers signed a codeshare agreement in April last year in which Lufthansa places its flight code on bmi flights from Bristol Int'l to Frankfurt Int'l and Munich as well as from Karlstad (Sweden) to Frankfurt.

Switzerland's Darwin Airline set to finalize fleet renewal plans

Darwin Airline (F7, Lugano) CEO Maurizio Merlo says his airline will finalize its fleet renewal plans by the end of the year with equity partner, Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi Int'l), expected to play a pivotal role.

Switzerland's SkyWork eyes Saab 2000s

SkyWork Airlines (SX, Berne) CEO Martin Inäbnit has unveiled his airline's turnaround programme dubbed "Go50Plus". Austrian Aviation Net says Inäbnit has set a 2015 deadline for the carrier to become profitable with one of the goals to generate enough profit during the summer months in order to tide the carrier through the difficult winter months.

Switzerland's SkyWork secures unrestricted AOC

SkyWork Airlines (SX, Berne) has secured an unrestricted Air Operators Certificate from the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Aviation (FOCA). The application for the certificate came after a recent change in the carrier's ownership resulted in the scrapping of an earlier plan to transfer its flight operations to the AOC of its German partner MHS Aviation (Germany) (M2, Munich).
