Thomas Cook UK to operate Reno, Nevada flights from December

Thomas Cook Airlines UK (MT, Manchester Int'l) will commence a twice-weekly nonstop service between Reno/Tahoe and London Gatwick beginning December 19, 2014 and ending April 9, 2015. The flight, which will be the Nevadan capital's only longhaul route, will operate on-board an A330-200.

It is to be recalled that on December 16, the airport will see its first international services to Guadalajara operated by Volaris (Y4, Toluca).

Reno, NV to see first international flights in December

Volaris (Y4, Toluca) has announced it will commence scheduled services to the Nevadan destination of Reno/Tahoe beginning December 16. The 2x weekly flight to the central Mexican city of Guadalajara will be the Nevadan airport's first international route.

Hong Kong's HKAC signs sale-lease back deals with Volaris, Azul

Volaris (Y4, Toluca) and Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, Campinas Viracopos) have both entered into separate sale-lease back agreements with lessor Hong Kong Aviation Capital (HKAC) in deals valued at almost USD1billion. In a statement, HKAC said the Mexican LCC's agreement entailed seven A320-200s valued at USD700million while the Brazilian carrier's agreement amounted to four EMB-195s valued at USD200million.

Mexican LCC, Volaris, studying Canada, South America

Volaris (Y4, Toluca) CEO Enrique Beltranena says his airline is currently studying the possibility of flights to Canada and possibly South America. In an interview with Mexico's El Financiero newspaper, Beltranena said growing concern over stagnation in the local economy had driven his airline to seek out new markets.

VivaAeroBus (VB, Monterrey General Mariano Escobedo) will only revive its plans for an IPO when market conditions have improved, co-founder and adviser, Conor McCarthy, has said.
