  • Read more 09APR2014: Dniproavia resumes normal operations as Kiev lifts sanctions
Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk) has resumed normal operations after sanctions imposed on the carrier by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in November last year were recently lifted.

The airline says that with effect from April 2, normal services have resumed though the current situation in the country has forced it to modify its network.

Among the changes are the postponement of flights from Kiev Borispol to Simferopol to the end of the month as well as the intermittent cancellation of flights from Dnepropetrovsk to Moscow Domodedovo.

Backed by Ukrainian-Israeli entrepreneur Ihor Kolomoyskyi's Privat Group, the airline employs a fleet of thirteen ERJ-145s of which only five are currently operational.
  • Read more 31MAR2014: UTair-Ukraine, Dniproavia modify their local operations
UTair-Ukraine (QU, Lugansk) has suspended somes of its domestic Ukrainian services and several regional routes in the wake of ongoing tensions between the former Soviet state and Russia over the latter's seizure of the Crimea.

Among the routes affected since March 29 are: Kiev Zhulyany to Kharkov and Lugansk. The UTair (UT, Khanty-Mansiysk) subsidiary has also suspended its Kiev Zhulyany to St. Petersburg and Kharkov to Yerevan and Baku services.

Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk) has also adapted its schedule to the situation postponing the launch of its Dnepropetrovsk to Istanbul Atatürk, Tbilisi, Batumi and Baku flights as well as its Kiev Zhulyany to Sevastopol service to the end of April. Flights from Moscow to Sevastopol and Ivano-Frankovsk have also been postponed to the end of April.

Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk) will start offering long-haul services from October 24 through a codeshare agreement with Wind Rose Aviation (7W, Kiev Borispol). It has placed its Z6 code on Wind Rose's new three times weekly A330-200 service from Kiev Borispol to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi scheduled to start later this month. Dniproavia currently only serves Moscow Domodedovo and Yerevan internationally right now with its fleet of ERJ-145s.
  • Read more 30APR2013: Embraer in talks with AeroSvit over three undelivered E190s
Embraer (São José dos Campos) is currently in talks with Ukraine's Privat Group, the owners of Aerosvit Airlines (VV, Kiev Borispol), regarding the delivery of three out of the five EMB-190s previously ordered by the now bankrupt Ukrainian carrier. It is believed that Privat Group would lease the aircraft out to Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kiev Borispol), who also took delivery of AeroSvit's two other Embraer EMB-190s, in addition to other aircraft, when Aerosvit suspended short and medium-haul operations in late 2012/early 2013 before leaving the long-haul market shortly thereafter. The two EMB-190s were originally delivered to AeroSvit in 2012 but operated by sister airline, Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk). One of the aircraft (UR-EMA, c/n 19000494) now is already operated by UIA itself, the second aircraft UR-DSB (c/n 19000501) is still operated by Dniproavia on behalf of UIA.
  • Read more 15APR2013: Dniproavia to resume international flights to Moscow later this month
Dniproavia (Z6, Dnepropetrovsk) will resume its first international services again on April 22 offering a daily ERJ-145 service from its home base Dnepropetrovsk to Moscow Domodedovo. It plans to add a similar daily service from Lvov to Domodedovo by June 1. These will be the first two international routes Dniproavia operates again after several years of only operating domestic services under its own commercial responsibility and operating international flights under Aerosvit Airlines (VV, Kiev Borispol) flight numbers. Since the collapse of Aerosvit, only a small number of the carrier's 15 ERJ-145s have been active on domestic flights. Dniproavia also operates two EMB-190s for Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kiev Borispol) and one ERJ-145 for Wind Rose Aviation (7W, Kiev Borispol) now.
