Iraq's Zagros Air changes its name to ZagrosJet ahead of its launch

Zagros Air (Iraq) (ZV, Erbil) has changed its name to ZagrosJet (Z4, Erbil) ahead of its planned early September launch. Atlasjet Airlines (KK, Antalya) is pushing ahead with plans to launch three new regional carriers in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Iraq. Zagros Air to link Iraq and Turkey from August onwards

Zagros Air (Iraq) (ZV, Erbil) plans to launch scheduled operations in August with its single A321-200 YI-AQU (c/n 1878). The joint venture between Turkish airline Atlasjet Airlines (KK, Antalya) and Zagros Group will initially mainly concentrate on routes linking Iraq and Turkey. Zagros Air A321 undergoing evaluation with ICAA prior to service entry

Zagros Air (Iraq) (ZV, Erbil) has once more taken delivery of A321-200, YI-AQU (c/n 1878), on dry-lease from Atlasjet Airlines (KK, Antalya). While the aircraft has featured in Zagros' fleet before, it is still undergoing its AOC evaluation with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority before its planned entry into service later this year.
