MASwings (MY, Kota Kinabalu) CEO Datuk Mohd Nawawi Awang has told the Borneo Post that the regional carrier owned by Malaysia Airlines (MH, Kuala Lumpur International) would have placed an order with Canadian aircraft manufacturer Viking Air (VKN, Victoria International) for six DHC-6-400 Twin Otters. The new aircraft will replace the carrier current three previous generation DHC-6-300 Twin Otter aircraft based in Kuching and Miri and operating on rural routes to airports in Sabah and Sarawak.
