TUI fly (Germany) (X3, Hannover) as well as sister carriers TUI fly Nordic (6B, Stockholm Arlanda), Thomson Airways (London Luton), Jetairfly (Brussels National) and Arke Fly (Amsterdam Schiphol) - all operators of the B737-800 in the TUI Travel Group - could soon see their respective 737s refitted with the new split-scimitar wing-tip developed by Boeing (BOE, Washington National) firm, Aviation Partners Boeing, as an improvement on its standard blended winglet. TUI says the first modified aircraft will fly from January 2014 though it has not as yet indicated which of its aircraft will undergo the modification first.
