Rossiya (FV, St. Petersburg) and British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) are set to be joined by a further two carriers on flights between St. Petersburg and London, Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has said. Following talks held on 18-19 December 2013 in London, the British and Russian authorities have now agreed to designate second carriers on the route. The new airlines will be allocated seven weekly flights between the two cities, a statement said. British Airways currently operates the route 13x weekly onboard either an A320-200 or an A321-200. Rossiya does not currently use its traffic rights on the route.
