Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has now completely withdrawn its last two DC-9-50s from service. As previously reported by ch-aviation, the carrier had retained two of the type, N779NC (msn 48101) and N782NC (msn 48107), for services out of Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson while the B717-200 was phased in. The last scheduled passenger flight with a DC-9 in the USA was operated by N779NC.
