Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) has been granted permission by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to set up two new hubs in Beijing Capital and Changsha Huanghua. The airline's other hubs include Xiamen, Hangzhou and Fuzhou. WCARN says the move will allow the carrier to further its goals of becoming a major domestic player by strengthening its presence in northern China while expanding into the country's western and central regions. The airline is owned by China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou)(51%), Xiamen Construction and Development Group (34%), and Jizhong Energy Group (15%).
