Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) has confirmed it will launch its first flights to Russia effective April 1, 2014. The first route to be added is a 3x weekly Dublin International to St. Petersburg service. The Irish LCC had originally planned to begin its St. Petersburg and Moscow operations in March this year. Under the terms of Ireland's Bilateral Air Services Agreement with Russia, Ryanair cannot operate direct flights to Russia from any other European airports. Rival easyJet (London Luton) launched its own services from Manchester International and London Gatwick to Moscow Domodedovo last year.
