SunExpress (XQ, Antalya) has finalized an order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for fifteen B737 MAX 8s and twenty-five B737-800s. The order, which forms the foundation of the airline's fleet renewal prgramme, is valued at more than USD3.8billion at list prices and includes options for ten additional 737 MAX 8s.

Based in Antalya on the Turkish Rivera, Sun Express was founded in October 1989 as a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) and Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International). The carrier operates an all-Boeing fleet of forty-three B737-800s and ten B737-700s and serves more than 90 destinations across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. It also operates wet-leases on behalf of Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) and its division AnadoluJet (Ankara Esenboga).
