Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International) will deploy its first A380-800 on flights from Abu Dhabi International to London Heathrow, New York JFK, Sydney Kingsford Smith and Melbourne Tullamarine beginning December this year. According to the ch-aviation aircraft database, Etihad is set to receive the following five airframes: cn 4, 166, 170, 176 and 180.

In his speech to the international press, CEO James Hogan said the first of ten A380s on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) would be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year.

The airline is also expecting the delivery of its first of forty-nine B787-9s from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) before year-end.
