Iraqi Airways (IA, Baghdad) has returned its sole B777-200(LR), YI-AQZ (msn 40993), to Boeing (BOE, Washington National). Skyliner Aviation tracked the aircraft's ferry flight from Erbil to Victorville on March 20. Originally intended for Air Austral (UU, St. Denis de la Réunion), the aircraft was acquired by the government of Iraq for onward lease to its national carrier.

Iraqi Airways continues to operate two B747-400s, two B767-300(ER)s and a single A330-200 for its widebody long-haul needs.
