American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) will begin cross-fleet operations with US Airways (Phoenix Sky Harbor) as the two carriers move to integrate their respective fleets. Airline Route reports that with effect from Summer 2014, the two carriers will begin using each other's aircraft on each other's routes and vice versa.

Effective June 1, the following AA routes will be entirely operated using US Airways metal namely: Charlotte International to Chicago O'Hare and Miami International; and Los Angeles International to Phoenix Sky Harbor. Effective July 2 (selected services): Miami International to Detroit Metropolitan, New Orleans International, Raleigh/Durham and Tampa International.

Effective July 2, the following US Airways routes will be operated using AA metal (selected services): Phoenix Sky Harbor to Detroit Metropolitan, New York Newark, Santa Ana, CA, and Seattle Tacoma International.
