Ameriflight (AMF, Burbank) is set relocate its headquarters as well as flight and maintenance operations from Burbank Airport, California, to Dallas/Fort Worth in Texas.

“Relocation to DFW will allow us to better serve our customers throughout North and South America, as well as centralize our operations at a major international hub in the nation’s geographic core,” Ameriflight President Andrew Lotter said in a statement. “It’s the right move for Ameriflight’s continued growth and expansion as the industry as the industry’s leader in small air cargo.”

Beginning September of this year, Ameriflight will move personnel from its flight, MRO, safety and quality departments to Texas. With 40 employees already at its Dallas/Fort Worth facility, the operator intends to add 80 by the middle of next year. It also intends to hire pilots as operations expand.

Using a fleet of 170 aircraft including E120s, Metroliner IIIs and Expediters, Beech 1900(F)s, Beech 99s and various smaller Piper Navajos and Chieftains, Ameriflight serves more than 250 communities throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and South America. It also performs contract work for FedEx, UPS and DHL.
