Privilege Style (P6, Palma de Mallorca) and other long-haul operators are expected to submit proposals to the government of the Canary Islands concerning a recently issued tender for six subsidized new routes.
In conjunction with the archipelago's tourism industry, the Canarians issued a tender for the following flights: Tenerife Sur - New York JFK, Gran Canaria - Rome, Santa Cruz de La Palma - Leipzig/Halle, Lanzarote - Lyon St. Exupéry, San Sebastian/Gomera - London, and Fuerteventura - Paris.
Additional routes are expected to be advertised later in the year.
