Monarch Airlines (1968) (London Luton) has reportedly hired corporate advisory firm, Dean Street Advisers, to help the carrier's parent firm, Monarch Holdings, attract private equity investment.

Quoting sources close to the Group's operations, the Sunday Times newspaper claims Monarch Group wants to better position Monarch Airlines against the likes of Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) and easyJet (London Luton). The Group believes that while it can compete with the two budget carriers on prices, it can beat them out-right on services provided.

Last week, Monarch Group was reported to have approached its owner, billionaire Swiss businessman, Sergio Mantegazza, over a possible GBP60million (USD102.2million) cash injection linked to the carrier's latest fleet renewal plan.
