Atlasjet UA (Lviv) will officially launch operations on September 15 the president of its parent company, Atlasjet Airlines (Antalya), Ali Murat Ersoy, has announced. The start-up recently secured its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Ukrainian authorities.

Atlasjet Ukraine CEO Serhiy Podhorodetsky told Russia's Interfax news agency that the airline's initial route network will cover Kyiv Boryspil, Lviv, Kharkiv, and Odesa to Istanbul Atatürk along with Odessa to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion flights. He did not specify what frequencies have been allocated as negotiations with Ukrianian airports concerning slot ties have yet to be concluded.

Atlasjet UA's fleet currently consists of three A320s - two of which are currently in service with sister carriers Atlasjet Airlines and ZagrosJet (Erbil).

Original plans to launch in May were scuppered in light of the ongoing civil unrest in the east of the country.
