EasyFly (Colombia) (Bogotá) is set to take delivery of its first two of ten ATR42-500s Colombian aviation news site, Aviacol, has reported. The two turboprops - cn 651 and 655 - are former flybe. Nordic (Helsinki Vantaa) machines and are currently parked at Helsinki Vantaa.

Earlier this year, the domestic Colombian LCC announced plans for the USD90million fleet upgrade which will see the new ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) fleet supplementing and eventually replacing Easyfly's current fleet of fourteen Jetstream 41s.

Airline president, Alfonso Ávila, told the Colombian press that the ATR42s will be phased in over the next five years and will be used in expanding Easyfly's route network with particular emphasis on new routes to the Caribbean.
