Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) has outlined its planned initial B787-8 operational schedule. With the arrival of its first B787, B-2768 (msn 41538), set for August 31, Xiamen expects to deploy the aircraft into scheduled service from Fuzhou to Beijing Capital and onwards to Xiamen on September 7.

According to China's WCARN news portal, the Boeing (BOE, Washington National) twinjet will thereafter operate each of the sectors in turn as a means of allowing Xiamen's crew to familiarize themselves with the type.

In the long term, Xiamen intends to deploy its six B787s onto intercontinental flights to Europe and North America. Its second is expected later in October this year with the remaining four to arrive in 2015.
