Atlas Air (5Y, New York JFK) is set to enhance its relationship with DHL with news that it will operate four additional B767-200(F)s, owned by DHL, on the global logistics giant's North American network. Atlas, which already operates another five B767-200(F)s and two B767-300Fs on behalf of DHL Express, expects to start flying the first incremental aircraft in December 2014, and to operate all four by end of January 2015.

The news comes after fellow US operator, ABX Air (GB, Wilmington Air Park), received termination notices from DHL affecting four DHL-owned Boeing 767-200 freighters that ABX currently CMI (Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) leases and operates within the US. In a statement, the firm said the contracts will cease effective December 2014 and January 2015.
