Tunisair (TU, Tunis) has announced it will wet-lease an A340-300 from AirAsia X (D7, Kuala Lumpur International) for use on its Hajj charter flights. ch-aviation schedule data shows that during the course fo this month, the Tunisian national carrier will operate 9M-XAB (cn 273) on flights from Monastir, Sfax, Tabarka, and Tunis to Jeddah International and Madinah in Saudi Arabia.
As previously reported, the quadjet is being assisted by a B757-200, EC-HDS (msn 26252), sourced from Spanish operator, Privilege Style (P6, Palma de Mallorca).
