United Airways (Dhaka) resumed domestic and regional operations on Saturday, September 27, following a three day suspension. Bangladeshi media reports state that the decision of resume services came after the carrier's newly constituted Board of Directors asked former chairman Tasbirul Ahmed Chowdhury to return to his post, to which he duly agreed.

In the wake of the disruption, the Bangladesh Security and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has said it will launch an investigation into the carrier's suspension of operations as well as claims it was facing financial difficulties.

"The investigation committee will look into various issues, including United Airways' sudden closure of business and its resumption two days later after reforming its board, and the unusual decline in its share prices," a BSEC spokesman said.
