Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) is considering launching its first international long haul services out of Xiamen with flights to Nice, France later this year. The announcement comes after local Xiamen government functionaries paid a visit to Europe earlier this month. It is speculated Xiamen will deploy its B787-8 on the route though has not yet been confirmed.

At present, Xiamen is linked to Europe by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam Schiphol) which offers a 3x weekly B777-200(ER) service to Amsterdam Schiphol.
