Dominican Wings (Santo Domingo Las Américas) has secured its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Dominican Republic's civil aviation authority (Junta de Aviación Civil de la República Dominicana - JAC) with charter flights between the Dominican Republic and Argentina set to launch later this month. Operations are on-board A320-200s sourced from parent, Avion Express (X9, Vilnius).
The start-up, which has already signed several contracts with Argentine tour operators in anticipation of the launch, says it sees strong potential in Colombia and Peru as future destinations.
