Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) has altered its B787 order book with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) choosing to convert outstanding orders for the B787-8 into additional orders for the B787-9. According to the Canadian Aviation news blog, Air Canada altered an existing order for fifteen B787-8s and twenty-two B787-9s to eleven B787-8s and twenty-six B787-9s.

The twinjets will replace the airline's outgoing fleet of B767-300(ER)s destined to go to its budget subsidiary, Air Canada rouge (RV, Toronto Pearson).

"The last of the -8 model B787s is due to be delivered in November 2015 with the first of the larger -9 models to be delivered in July 2015 and a total of 5 by the end of 2015," the report said.

Presently, Air Canada operates four B787-8s on flights to Western Europe, Israel, and the Far East.
