Alrosa Aviakompania (6R, Mirnyj) has leased a Dash 8-400, VP-BKD (cn 4162), from Yakutia Airlines (R3, Yakutsk) for use on its Mirnyj to Novosibirsk, Irkutsk International, and Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo routes. Though the aircraft at present operates in Yakutia's livery, it will, over the period December 2014 to January 2015, operate in that of Alrosa.

In the long run, Alrosa intends to introduce the type into its fleet alongside its B737-700, its B737-800, four Tu-154Ms, four Il-76s, and various smaller Antonov Design Bureau turboprops.

Alrosa was founded in 2002 by its namesake, the Russian diamond-mining conglomerate ALROSA (ALmazy ROssil SAkha).
