Transaero Airlines (Moscow Vnukovo) switched its Rimini flights to Ancona with effect from Saturday, November 1. The Russian carrier's weekly services to the Italian Adriatic coast will remain unchanged at two weekly flights from Moscow Domodedovo.

As previously reported, with the recent bankruptcy of Aeradria, the Italian civil aviation authority (L'Ente Nazionale per L'Aviazione Civile - ENAC) is in the process of certifying Air Riminum, the airport's planned new operator.

Once certification is complete and the changeover effected, so Rimini airport will re-open to traffic. Transaero says it is then that it will resume services there.
