Jet Time (2006) (Copenhagen Kastrup) has secured a short-term contract with SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) to provide the Scandinavian carrier with three ATR72-500s during next year's summer season. The routes are currently covered by Cimber (Sønderborg) using a fleet of four CRJ200s. SAS reportedly chose the ATR72s because of their better fuel efficiency as compared to the CRJ-200.

Denmark's check-in.dk news portal says the wet-lease agreement will run from Late March until the end of October 2015 with Jet Time likely to source the added capacity from lessor Nordic Aviation Capital.

"We are expanding cooperation with Jet Time through our summer 2015 timetable with three ATR72-500 aircraft. They are going to fly some of the traffic that Cimber did. We do not know yet how we will ensure capacity for our winter 2015/16 timetable, but we will have to find a permanent solution," SAS press officer, Trine Kromann-Mikkelsen, said.

Jet Time currently wet-leases eight newer ATR72s-600s to SAS for use on flights throughout Norway, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Poland and Finland.
