Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) CEO Michael O'Leary says the Irish budget carrier will likely lease in seven additional aircraft to cover next year's summer high season. The airline currently operates 302 B737-800s on flights covering 180 destinations scattered throughout Europe and North Africa.

This year, the LCC leased four B737-400s, split between AirExplore (ED, Bratislava) and Air Contractors (Dublin International), three B737-800s from flydubai (FZ, Dubai International), and a maiden A320-200 from defunct Italian carrier Livingston Air (Milan Malpensa), for the duration of summer.
