Shuttle America (Fort Wayne International) will operate nine additional E170s for Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) as part of an amended Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA) signed last week, Republic Airways Holdings has announced.
The aircraft, which will be sourced either internally or from the used aircraft market, are scheduled to enter service between the third quarter of 2015 and the second quarter of 2016. Each will operate for a term of six years per aircraft.
In addition, both parties have agreed to extend the term of the agreement for the existing fourteen EMB-170 aircraft by four years, or through October 2021, and the existing sixteen E175 aircraft by approximately five years, or through February 2024.
