Vistara (Delhi International) will commence scheduled operations on January 9, 2015, with its maiden route from Delhi International to Mumbai International where it will be offering four daily A320-200 flights. One of the daily flights will operate via Ahmedabad in each direction.
The joint-venture between Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) and India's Tata Group secured its Air Operators Permit from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) earlier this month paving the way for its launch.
Tata Group's other initiative, a budget carrier with Malaysian LCC AirAsia - AirAsia India (Bengaluru International), commenced operations in June this year.
