ES-air (Esbjerg) has announced plans to commence domestic flights between Esbjerg and Copenhagen Kastrup from March 2 with ticket sales having yet to start. ES-air intends to offer four daily flights per direction on weekdays and one rotation on Sundays, operated with ATR 72-500s operated by Jet Time (2006) (Copenhagen Kastrup). According to Jet Time, both of their ATR 72-500 OY-JZY (msn 540) and OY-JZZ (msn 548) will be deployed on the route on behalf of the newly established virtual carrier.

The route between Esbjerg in the Southwest of Denmark and the Danish capital Copenhagen was once very popular until a new bridge opened in the late 1990s linking Copenhagen to Jutland, the Danish mainland. The new bridge shortened travel time for car and railway services substantially and led to the termination of several domestic routes from Copenhagen including the route to Esbjerg.
