Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) will announce several new routes out of Macedonia after having won a governmental tender granting major subsidies for new flights. According to EX-YU Aviation News, out of Skopje the low-cost airline will launch flights to Oslo Torp, Barcelona El Prat, Nuremberg, Hamburg Luebeck and another unnamed destination in Germany.

As all destinations currently already served by the airline in Germany will have a connection to Skopje with the recently announced routes, the unnamed additional destination will be a new airport in Wizz Air's German network.

Wizz Air is also expected to launch its first ever flights from Ohrid, linking the second international airport in Macedonia to Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, FR.
