Darwin Airline (Lugano) will indeed operate two Saab 2000s for and on behalf of fellow Etihad Airways affiliate, Air Berlin (1991) (Berlin Tegel), the German airline has confirmed to ch-aviation.
As previously reported, Air Berlin will deploy the aircraft on flights from Berlin Tegel to Billund, Gdansk and Prague Václav Havel in April this year.
One of the two aircraft to be operated for Air Berlin has already been identified as HB-IYD (msn 2000-059).
Darwin already operates two ATR72-500s on behalf of Alitalia (AZA, Rome Fiumicino).
