Horizon Air (QX, Seattle Tacoma International) will suspend its flights to the Idahoan town of Sun Valley from April 26 to May 20 as the airfield undergoes its last major phase of a reconfiguration. Consequently, the airport's main runway 13/31 will be closed to traffic over that period.

"This reconfiguration primarily focuses on the relocation of the airport taxiway, west of the runway. As a result, the airport passenger terminal and parking lot were also required to be reconfigured," the Friedman Memorial Airport Authority said in a statement.

The airport's other scheduled operator, SkyWest Airlines (OO, Salt Lake City), which plies flights for Delta Express and United Express, will also be affected by the closure.

Other alternative airports in the vicinity include Twin Falls, Boise, and Idaho Falls.
