Aeroméxico (AM, México City International) says shareholder Citi Holdings has disposed of its approximately 16% stake in the company through a series of transactions. Barclays Capital Securities Ltd acquired roughly 8% of the shares through a financial transaction with another of the Mexican carrier's shareholders, Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson).
Other buyers of the shares include members of the airline's board as well as former chairman Eduardo Tricio Haro. Despite their acquisitions, none of them would hold more than 5% of the shares the airline added.
