Thomson Airways (London Luton) has announced it will add up to four B787-9s to its widebody fleet of four B767-300s and nine B787-8s.

The leisure carrier said in a communique issued last week that it has converted two existing B787-8s (slated for delivery in summer 2016) orders with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) to larger B787-9s. It has also ordered a third B787-9 with an option to purchase a fourth.

The B787-9s will be configured with 345 seats including 63 Premium Club seats.

Thomson has also announced plans to operate charter flights from Dublin International, Ireland to Cancún in Mexico, and Montego Bay in Jamaica between June and August 2016. The routes are offered in tandem with the Falcon Holidays tour operator agency.
