Air India (AI, Delhi International) is set to dry-lease fourteen A320neo twinjets from Kuwait's Aviation Lease and Finance Company (ALAFCO) with deliveries scheduled for between April 2017 and March 31, 2018. All are on ten-year long contracts.

The state-backed carrier is in the process of replacing its nineteen ex-Indian Airlines (Delhi International) A320-200s which now average close to twenty years of age.

As such, it has already struck a deal with the China Aircraft Leasing Company for the delivery of five A320-200 (sl)s, the first of which arrived in February of this year. The remaining four are due in October.
