Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) is planning to dispose of its E145 fleet by the middle of next year the Airfinance Journal has reported. The replacement of the Embraer Regional Jets with a fleet of five Dash 8-400s sourced from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) will render the first phase of the Luxembourg-based carrier's fleet renewal programme complete.

As previously reported, the second phase of the plan will involve an order for a yet-to-be-determined Next Generation aircraft with deliveries slated for 2018 to 2020.

Aside from the Embraers, Luxair also operates seven Q400s, two B737-700s, and four B737-800s on scheduled flights to destinations throughout Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. It also offers seasonal summer charters as well as cargo and passenger handling services.
