EVA Air (BR, Taipei Taoyuan) has converted a Letter of Intent (LOI) signed with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for five B777-Fs into a firm order. The LOI was announced at last month's 2015 Paris Air Show at Paris Le Bourget.
The order, valued at more than USD1.5 billion at list prices, will see EVA become the first Taiwanese operator of the B777 freighter.
EVA's freighter fleet currently consists of eight B747-400(F)s used on flights to Japan, the United States, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, India, and Singapore.
