The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) has announced that eleven carriers around the world have placed firm orders for 185 MA-700s. The MA-700 is a twin-engine, medium-range turboprop airliner currently under development with the Xian Aircraft Company (Xi'an Yanliang).

During the MA700's official launch in Xi'an Yanliang, AVIC said that of the orders, thirty were placed by Okay Airways (BK, Tianjin) and JoyAir (JR, Xi'an Xianyang) while the rest came from Cambodia Bayon Airlines (Phnom Penh) (Xian's Cambodian operation), China Development Bank Leasing (CDBL), CMB Financial Leasing, Chongqing Yashi Financial Leasing Co., China Poly Group Corporation, Air Kasthamandap (Kathmandu) (Nepal), Hybrid Aviation (Pakistan), and an unknown South African outfit, Segers Aero.

Air China (CA, Beijing Capital), China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou), China Eastern Airlines (MU, Shanghai Hongqiao) and Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou) apparently expressed an interest as well.

Okay Airways and Joy Air have already been appointed the type's launch operators. Assembly of the first airframe is scheduled for next year with its maiden flight now due in 2017. Overall, its new estimated Entry-Into-Service date is now 2019.
