Fastjet Zimbabwe (FN, Harare International) has taken delivery of its first ex-South African Airways (SA, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) A319-100 registered Z-FJE on September 18. The 144-seat aircraft is the first of two the Zimbabwean low-cost carrier start-up plans to take delivery of before the end of the year.
By the end of the year, Fastjet aims to operate five aircraft in Tanzania, two with Fastjet Zimbabwe and another two in Zambia where it is in the final stages of establishing Fastjet Zambia (Lusaka).
