Spring Airlines (9C, Shanghai Hongqiao) parent firm China Spring Group has partnered a Japanese real estate management company, Sun Frontier Fudousan, to open the Spring Sunny Hotel chain of budget hotels in Japan.
Together the two firms will invest JPY20 billion (USD164 million) to develop twenty new properties the first of which, a 15-story facility including baths drawn from hot springs, is slated to open in Aichi Prefecture by June next year.
According to a prospectus, Spring Sunny Hotels will target price-conscious Chinese tourists visiting Japan that are looking for high-quality service at unbeatable prices.
