Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International) will commence a 2x weekly Abu Dhabi International-Rabat service with effect from January 15, 2016. The flights, which will operate on-board an A340-500, wil mark the Moroccan capital's maiden longhaul service.

At present, Rabat's route network is entirely Euro-oriented with scheduled operations undertaken by Air France (AF, Paris CDG), Jetairfly (Brussels National), Royal Air Maroc (AT, Casablanca Mohamed V), Ryanair (FR, Dublin International), and Vueling Airlines (VY, Barcelona El Prat).
