Tigerair Australia (Melbourne Tullamarine) has added its maiden Boeing (BOE, Washington National) equipment to its fleet following the delivery of B737-800 VH-VUB (msn 34013) late last week.

The twinjet is part of a trio of B737s the budget operator has sourced from parent Virgin Australia (VA, Brisbane International) to operate its maiden international flights from Perth International, Melbourne Tullamarine, and Adelaide International to Denpasar, Indonesia beginning in late-March of next year.

Prior to the aircraft's delivery, Tigerair had been an all-Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) operation plying fourteen A320-200s on flights to eleven destinations across Australia from bases at Brisbane International, Melbourne, and Sydney Kingsford Smith.
